This study verified the application of design of experiments (DOE) to the mix design of full-depth reclamation with cement (FDR-C) mixtures. A mix design method that evaluates mechanical, volumetric and erodibility properties was adopted, and all the steps of a DOE were used. The planning stage enabled to define the variables with the most significant influence on the results, achieving a comprehensive and reduced experimental matrix. The results analysis made possible to quantify the effects of the studied controlled factors (cement content and reclaimed asphalt pavement percentage) on each response variable. The multivariate optimization resulted in an optimal adjust of those factors considering all the response variables simultaneously. DOE proved to be a very efficient tool that could be widely used in process optimization, including the mix design of FDR-C mixtures.
